Hadley Campbell of Whitesboro, Texas, a successful
breeder, trainer, judge and promoter of the Appaloosa breed for more than 30
years, was one of the great trainers of the 1970s and 1980s. Serving many
years on the Blackhawk Appaloosa Association's Board of Directors - in the
role of president for several years - Campbell became the club's first Hall of
Fame honoree. Campbell also served on the Board of Directors for the Southern
Wisconsin Appaloosa Association. Throughout
his career, he won more than 40 National and World titles and coached many
youth and non-pros to National and World titles as well.
Campbell is probably most known for his connection with the 1968
National Show's high-point performance horse Honey Toe (besting 1,900 horses)
and Honeytone. Campbell currently stands Zip Code One who finished 1997 ranked
second on the leading sires of performance winners list.
