POSITION DESCRIPTION
PART-TIME
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT


Overview
The Executive Assistant provides support to the CEO, Board of Directors and Staff Leadership Team. The individual serves as coordinator for board and committee meetings (face-to-face and conference calls), staff and board travel, permanent files, correspondence, office and facilities management and member services as assigned.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assist the CEO in managing programs and activities of the ApHC;
2. Serve as meeting planner for board, committee and general membership meetings;
3. Coordinate clerical support for meetings, including minutes, reports, materials for directors and agendas;
4. Assist board members, staff and judges with travel arrangements for ApHC business;
5. Manage elections of directors and other membership voting processes;
6. Provide key support for member services and ApHC programs, specifically ApHC-sponsored shows and events;
7. Office supply management;
8. Other duties as assigned.

Working Relationships
The individual interacts with all other ApHC departments, staff and board members to ensure timely communication, organizational efficiency and general operations of the ApHC. Participates as a member of the Staff Leadership Team; assists in information management and supports the CEO by being generally aware of association and industry trends and issues.

Work Requirements
A preference is given to individuals with knowledge of the equine industry and prior administrative and customer service experience. The individual should be detail-oriented, motivated and service-minded with excellent oral and written communication skills.
