Appaloosa Horse Club announces volunteer of the year program

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) Board of Directors approved another innovative program to recognize the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of the ApHC’s regional volunteers during the March board meeting in Moscow, Idaho.

The ApHC is constantly searching for ways to recognize its members’ efforts and contributions toward the overall mission of the ApHC. The Volunteer of the Year program is just one more way for the ApHC to honor those dedicated people.

Regional Clubs may nominate their outstanding volunteers by submitting a Volunteer of the Year Nomination form, along with a biography/resume and photo(s) of the nominee, to the ApHC Regional Club Coordinator by Nov. 15, 2007. Though the ApHC understands that each club may have multiple candidates, each Regional Club may only submit one nomination per year.

The Regional Club Committee will select a Volunteer of the Year in each territory from the nominations received. The territory winners will receive letters notifying them of their accomplishment, and the rest of the membership can find the results Feb.15, 2007 on the ApHC Web site, and in the Regional Club newsletter and the Appaloosa Journal

The Regional Club Committee will choose the overall Volunteer of the Year as well. The Regional Club Coordinator will notify the winner, and their associated Regional Club, in writing. He or she will be recognized in the Regional Club Newsletter, Appaloosa Journal, the Yearbook and on the ApHC Web site. The winner will also be honored at the ApHC annual open banquet.
