The ApHC Follows Phil Dawson On His Ride Across America

Appaloosa owner and enthusiast Phil Dawson of Hagerman, Idaho, is making his way throughout the western-most states in an effort to raise $10 million on behalf of his charity, America Fundraisers Inc., which benefits the needy children of America. Phil began his trek May 1 in Idaho, and will travel through Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington before ending his journey in Lewiston, Idaho.

In the past week, Phil has traveled through Nevada and reached the corner of California, Nevada and Oregon. Phil is currently riding just north of Harney, Ore., toward Lewiston, Idaho.

Accompanying Phil on his journey is a Satellite Professional Tracker or “SPOT” unit, allowing everyone to follow Phil by visiting www.americafundraisers.org and clicking “SPOT Phil 2009.”

Anyone interested in joining Phil on his ride or opening up a barn to him and his travel companions along his journey, please call his cell phone at (208) 841-2215.
