Appaloosa owner and enthusiast Phil Dawson
of Hagerman, Idaho, is making his way throughout the western-most
states in an effort to raise $10 million on behalf of his
charity, America Fundraisers Inc., which benefits the needy
children of America. Phil began his trek May 1 in Idaho, and
will travel through Nevada, California, Oregon and Washington
before ending his journey in Lewiston, Idaho.
In the past week, Phil has traveled through Nevada and reached
the corner of California, Nevada and Oregon. Phil is currently
riding just north of Harney, Ore., toward Lewiston, Idaho.
Accompanying Phil on his journey is a Satellite Professional
Tracker or “SPOT” unit, allowing everyone to follow Phil by
