Appaloosa mare Dashin With Flare proved to have the fastest
legs on the track in a two-year old claiming race at Remington
Park in Oklahoma City, Okla., on March 27, 2011. Dashin With
Flare competed as the only Appaloosa against nine Paint horses
for a purse of $13,500.
Dashin With Flare (Dashin Is Easy, AQHA, x Feleshas Flare)
jockeyed by Bryant Ernst took first place after completing
the distance in 15.533 seconds. Dashin With Flare won $7,680
and had a claiming price of $20,000. The Oklahoma-bred Appaloosa
is bred by John C. Diediker, Okla., trained by Kenneth Griggs,
and the wining owners are John C. Diediker and Rich Jantz.
