2005 Color Breed Council Ring Steward Seminar
Biltmore Hotel Oklahoma — Oklahoma City, OK
Sunday, January 30, 2005
8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Color Breed Council, Inc. is once again offering a seminar designed
to educate you on becoming a ring steward or increasing your current
ring steward knowledge and skills. As a participant, you will have
a chance to learn from the equine industry’s recognized experts.
This year’s seminar features instructors Don Manuello, Jack
Junker, Ron McMillian, Leah Mackey and Nancy Braesicke. Topics will
include: rulebook preparation, pre-show preparation, show procedures
and scribing. The seminar is open to the public — no invitation
required. The registration fee is $75 and includes lunch.

International Equine Judges Seminar
The International Equine Judges Seminar, managed by the Color
Breed Council, will be held in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the
Biltmore Hotel. It’s open to carded judges and approved
applicants only.
ApHC judges — Must attend January 26 – 29
Applicants — Must attend January 26 – 29
Please note: All ApHC carded judges and applicants are required
to attend a special educational session scheduled for January
26 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. Please contact ApHC Judges Department,
ext. 244 for more details.

Lifetime
Non-Pro Members:
All lifetime ApHC members need to mark their calendar to renew their
non-pro membership prior to January 1, 2005. For only $10 annually,
you can take part in a program for the amateur horseman that rewards
you for your achievements in the show ring. For your convenience,
non-pro renewal notices for lifetime members were mailed on Wednesday,
October 20, 2004. If you’re a lifetime member and didn’t
receive a renewal notice, please contact the ApHC Show Department
for assistance, ext. 400 or by e-mail to youth@appaloosa.com. |

Are you looking for previous award winners? Purchase past yearbooks
for only $8 while supplies last! Limited quantities of 2000, 2001
and 2002 Yearbooks are available at this special price. 2003 yearbooks

International
Top 10
If you live outside the United States and you own and show an ApHC-registered
Appaloosa, you’re eligible to earn an International Top 10
award! Classes eligible for awards include open, non-pro and youth
halter; junior and senior reining, western pleasure and hunter under
saddle; non-pro and youth reining, western pleasure and hunter under
saddle. Points are awarded on the national point system as outlined
in the 2004 Official Handbook of the ApHC and standings are based
on points earned at ApHC-approved shows outside of the United States
from January 1 – December 20 of each year. Award winners must
earn five points under three different judges in each class to be
eligible and horses must be owned and shown by ApHC members who
don’t reside in the United States. Top 10 standings are included
in each monthly issue of Appaloosa Journal and are also available
on the ApHC Web site at www.appaloosa.com/show/internationaltopten.asp.

Trust Deadlines-2004
November 10, 2004 Stallion Enrollment
Increase your exposure through the Breeders’ Trust stallion
listing in Appaloosa Journal January through June. Receive a 25
percent discount off your ad in the Breeders’ Trust Showcase
included in the February issue of Appaloosa Journal.
December 31, 2004 Stallion Enrollment
Pay only $200 enrollment fee when you enroll your stallion by
December 31, 2004 prior to the 2005 breeding season.
Foal Enrollment
Pay only $100 enrollment fee when you enroll your weanling foal
by the December 31, 2004, deadline.
Enrollment benefits:
· Cash payouts on points earned
· Increased exposure for your stallion by being included
in the Breeders’ Trust stallion listing in Appaloosa Journal
and on the ApHC Web site.

Attention
2004 National Point Earners
Please be sure to verify your national points now while there is
still time to make corrections. Remember corrections can’t
be made to show results after December 21 for shows held prior to
November 15th. For shows held after November 15th, corrections must
be in the ApHC office by December 31, 2004. If you’re
a non-pro exhibitor and will be renewing your 2005 membership
soon, be sure to include the additional $10 annual non-pro membership
dues with your renewal. Lifetime members must also enroll annually
in the non-pro program for the fee of $10. For assistance, please

The December Stallion Showcase is featured in the next Appaloosa
Journal. Make sure to keep this December Journal on hand all year
through for an easy reference of available stallions! If
you make the Top 10 at the World Show, make sure to contact the
Appaloosa Journal Advertising Department to place an ad to thank
your trainers, promote your horse and showcase your achievement.
