ApHC announces 2005 World Sales and $30,000 guaranteed futurity payouts

The ApHC announces plans for its 2005 World Sales: The Yearling Futurity Sale on November 2, 2005, followed by the Select Sale on November 3, 2005, both held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, Texas, during the World Show.

Yearlings in the Yearling Futurity Sale will be eligible for $30,000 in guaranteed payouts for three futurity classes held at the 2006 World Show.

Each first place winner of the 2-year-old hunter under saddle class, 2-year-old western pleasure class and 2-year-old halter class will be awarded $7,500, and each. second- and third-place finisher will receive $1,500 and $1,000 respectively.

In an effort to provide the highest possible purses for its futurity classes at the 2006 World Show, the ApHC is not offering pass-out fees at its 2005 Yearling Incentive Sale. The consignor may buy back the horse, but must be the last bidder and pay 8 percent of the final bid or a minimum of $250. The entry fee for the 2-year-old classes in 2006 will be $150.

To increase the payouts for the 2006 futurity classes, additional funds will be generated by class sponsorships, advertisements placed in the sale catalog and the auction of four slots for each of the 2006 World Sales. The ApHC is currently seeking $2,000 sponsors for each of the 2-year-old futurity classes. The sale catalog advertising rates for various sizes are: Full-page (color) $700; Half-page (color) $400; Business card (black and white) $100.

The consignment fee for the Select Sale is $350 per horse. A sales commission of 8 percent or a minimum of $200 will be taken from each sale. The pass-out fee is $200.
To request a consignment packet or for more information about the sales, class sponsorships or advertising in the sale catalog, please contact the ApHC at (208) 882-5578 ext. 282.
