Appaloosa License
and Souvenir Plates
The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) would like to invite equine enthusiasts
to join Appaloosa owners, breeders and enthusiasts in showing their
commitment to the Breed of Choice by purchasing a souvenir Appaloosa
license plate! This unique Appaloosa plate is the first United States
license plate to prominently feature a state horse along with the
name of the breed.
While Idaho residents have the advantage of displaying their enthusiasm
for the breed on their bumper, anyone in the world can purchase
a souvenir plate! Souvenir plates are only $30 and include free
personalization.
Getting your souvenir plate couldn't be easier. Visit www.accessidaho.org,
click DMV, then Vehicle Services, followed by Special Plates and
finally, click on the rotating license plate graphic.
Not only will you be proudly promoting the Appaloosa breed, but
purchase of a license or souvenir plate helps the ApHC educate youths
about horses. The ApHC receives $20 for each souvenir plate sold;
and $25 for each initial registration and $15 for each yearly renewal
of the Idaho license plate. These funds are exclusively used for
youth education programs including the Appaloosa Museum and Heritage
Center.
Though the ApHC supports the Appaloosa plate program, plates may
only be purchased through www.accessidaho.org.
The ApHC does not sell, manufacture or ship the license plates.
However, we are happy to provide customers with information.

Are you an active Appaloosa owner? Do you
enjoy competing in local competitions such as team penning, cutting,
barrel racing, gaming, judged trail riding, hunter or open shows?
If your answer is yes, the Appaloosa Horse Club would like to offer
you another way to receive recognition for your accomplishments

offers.
Everything you need to get started earning ACAAP
merits is available on the ApHC web site at www.appaloosa.com.
Click on the Show

The Appaloosa
Museum Held its Annual Holiday Open House
Moscow enjoyed beautiful weather for its annual open house on December
6, 2008, and a record crowd attended. Visitors from the local and
surrounding communities got to see Santa ride in on an Appaloosa.
In addition to crafts, horse-shaped cookie decorating and hosting
Santa, the Museum was pleased to exhibit a Nez Perce headdress in
its new 360-degree-view display case. Funding from the Idaho governor’s
Lewis and Clark committee and the Spokane Northwest Museum of Arts
and Culture helped make this possible.
To view upcoming events, visit www.appaloosamusueum.org.
If you’re in the area, we hope you’ll come in to visit!
