ApHC E-newsletter, May 2010
Be sure your ballot for the 2010 ApHC Board of Directors election arrives at the office of our Certified Public Accountant, David Strottmann, by June 1, 2010. A return envelope is enclosed with your ballot.
Each eligible ApHC member will receive a ballot for only those persons running in their territory. If you are a member in any territory/zone where a candidate is running opposed, you will find candidate statements of qualifications and purpose included with your ballot. All unopposed candidates are automatically elected. Biographies for all candidates are available online at www.appaloosa.com.
Beginning in 2011 the ApHC will begin using electronic balloting to create and manage the annual board of directors election and bylaw amendments. The ApHC is actively searching for ways to cut costs and provide new online services that benefit our members. Electronic balloting accomplishes both of those goals.
Notices and instructions for the 2011 online voting will be published in the Appaloosa Journal and on the ApHC website at www.appaloosa.com

The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) is offering members a chance to catch up on those transfers of ownership that may be sitting with your Appaloosa’s Certificate of Registration.
For a limited time, beginning June 1, an Appaloosa can be transferred multiple times for a one-time fee of only $25 per horse. Normally, there is a $15 ApHC member fee every time the horse has changed hands—$80 for non-members. Complete and signed transfer forms for each previous owner are still needed, but with this limited-time offer it’s an easy one-time $25 fee for ApHC members. Non-members can take advantage of the $25 transfer sale by joining ApHC for $55.
Don’t miss out on your chance to save your hard-earned dollars and get your paper work in order! Send us as many transfers as you have, and for only $25 per horse, all transfers will be completed and the certificate will be sent back to the most current owner.
Please contact the Registration Department at (208) 882-5578 ext. 300 or www.appaloosa.com for additional information and forms.
