This year’s ride will be at the Big Elk Lick Campground in Benezette, the elk capital of Pennsylvania. The ride will start with dinner on Sunday, June 15 and end with breakfast on Saturday, June 21. All meals will be catered by Royal Gourmet Caterers who did a fantastic job last year.

The area here is beautiful with lots of wildlife and sightings of elk almost daily. The elk will sometimes visit camp and they can be seen at the designated viewing area. This is not a fenced in area. The elk are free roaming and frequently visible around town.

The camp is well equipped with full access to the shower house that has two bathrooms with a shower, sink and toilet in each. The water in the shower house is potable. The water from the hydrants scattered around camp is not potable, but suitable for horses. Please have your drinking water tanks full before you reach camp. There is also a stream running through camp that can be used for watering horses.

The camp hosts prefer that you high line your horses. There are 10 box stalls available for rent at $10/night on a first come/first serve basis. Portable fencing is discouraged especially if we have wet conditions. Hay will be available to purchase.

Twenty-five (25) electrical sites are available on a first come/first serve basis. These are only 10-15 amps so they are not meant to run an air conditioner.
